This time last year, I was in New York city for the 4th. My friend Holly was living in Brooklyn for the summer, so it was a perfect excuse to escape to New York. We had an incredible and eventful day, including the Coney Island Hot Dog Eating Contest- in which there was an eat off between Japanese Kobayashi and American Joey Chesnut who pulled through in the end to make American proud. This year I'll be taking things easy as I head home to my quaint home town nestled in the mountains. I plan to have a full day at the river and then head to the Balloon Rally for some fireworks- all in good company. So I will be signing off for a few days- Happy 4th everyone!

Happy 4th!
