Amy Tavern

As usual, I was "playing internet" and came across Amy Tavern. Amy got her BFA in metal design from the University of Washington in 2002- she has since given lectures and taught classes around the country and is currently a resident at Penland School of Crafts in Penland, North Carolina. Its amazing how small the Crafts (fine crafts- not as in arts and crafts) world is! Many of my professors and fellow students have attended and/or taught at Penland. Amy's work is delightfully simple with a nice aesthetic. She has a great website and blog- check her out!
